DEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENTS
Developmental assessments in children are recommended when there are concerns about a child’s ability to meet expected developmental milestones and perform everyday tasks.
Developmental assessments can be beneficial in:
Identifying the Developmental Milestones. This may include determining the severity and evaluating the impact it is having on meeting developmental milestones.
A Personalised Sensory Profile Evaluation. It sheds light on a child’s sensory processing patterns. The insights gain aids in crafting a therapeutic roadmap tailored to each child’s Sensory landscape. It tailored to fit the unique sensory profile of the child, ensuring that intervention is not just effective but also empowering for the child and their family.
Developing individualised Therapeutic Treatments. By identifying a child’s strengths and weaknesses, the Therapist can work with parents and teachers to develop interventions to best accommodate their learning and developmental needs.

The process starts with an assessment and consultation. Assessment may consist of 4 Components:
An online form to fill up prior to the first session, behavioural observations of your child, direct/indirect testing of your child’s Nervous System, a personalised Sensory Profile map of your child.
This will take between 1.5 to 2hrs. Following this process, our Therapists will share the results of the assessment and design a therapeutic treatment in accordance to your child’s developmental needs, concerns and the assessment findings.
Following the assessment, intervention will target therapy goals and work within a set time frame.

Every child is different, however there are 2 areas that are very critical:
First – Early Intervention is key! Especially for children below the age of 3 years old. 3 years old is the very first development that lays the foundation for future learning, social interactions, and overall well-being. It marks significant advancements in various areas of a child's growth and development. These milestones provide important indicators of a child's progress. Hence, the rate of progress will be a lot faster when the child is younger.
Second – Parent involvement is key. Practice the therapy techniques at home consistently and routinely.
