Agnes Quek
Founder Of Assumption Learning
Ms Agnes holds several accreditations, reflecting her passion about making a positive difference in people's lives, amongst them including Master Trainer in Cognitive Psychology and a Bachelor in Commerce. She is a Consultant and Therapist certified in Neuro-developmental practices, and a range of complementary healing practices ranging from children with special needs/ learning difficulties up to adolescents and adults with Emotional and Cognitive challenges. She is also well trained in the field of Neurofeedback, and Neurostimulation. She is also a Certified Therapist in SI Perspective (Sensory Integration) and SI Intervention of Autism Spectrum Disorder awarded by University of Southern California, MNRI (Masgutova Neuro-Sensorimotor Reflex Integration) Reflex Movement Integration, Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) for Autism Spectrum Disorder and a Level 2 Consultant in The Tomatis Method.
Ms Agnes has diverse training and more than 15 years of experience in Cognitive Skills Development, M.O.R.E Integrating the Mouth with Sensory and Postural Functions in Speech Delay, Sensory Processing and Sensory Integration Therapy, Vision Therapy, Auditory Processing & Reading and Language Therapy. She had conducted training and spoken to many audiences, among them Channel 8 Series - Little Achievers 小不点,大改造, Parents’ support groups and organisations such as OCBC bank and non-profit organisations such as Catholic Churches. Agnes has also conducted workshops India.
Prior to the establishment of Assumption Learning, Agnes was a director and consultant in Singapore Brain Development Centre, running operations and spearheading therapy treatment plans and program deliveries.
During the 11 years where she was with Singapore Brain, she helped many parents pave cognitive development and behavioural tackling pathway for their children. Her professional challenges included team strategy facilitation for acute paediatric infants, children and adolescent mental health cases with medical conditions. Agnes was highly driven by the transformation that came with the children’s progress and she tackles challenges faced during therapy phases with utmost patience and precision.
Her drive and passion has led her to the establishment of Assumption Learning in 2019. A mother of two beautiful daughters, Agnes connects beautifully with the children in the centre on an inner level through meticulous observational skills.
Grace Tan Shi Yi
Senior Therapist
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
Grace graduated from the Singapore Institute of Management under the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Latin Honours. Grace studied modules related to cognitive, emotional, and language development in young children, and part of her coursework involved solving case studies, which further piqued her interest in child psychology.
Prior to working in Assumption Learning, Grace participated and volunteered with Caregivers Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and support to caregivers of persons with mental illness. She also had the opportunity to volunteer with CampusImpact as a Study Guardian for disadvantaged children and children with special needs, guiding them through their academic work and activities. Having interacted with these children further strengthened her desire to be part of a child's intervention programme to help them overcome challenging aspects of their lives.
A passionate reader, Grace loves to create content on social media about the literature she reads during her free time. Currently, she is learning French on Duolingo!

Sherry's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Murdoch University, where she focused one of her lab report on examining memory span in undergraduates and their ability to recall the order of 3 stimulus types: digits, words, and letters.
During her undergraduate studies, Sherry was involved in volunteer work at Care Corner, where she read and played with children, nurturing children through the reading and play sessions planned for them. This sparked her interest in working with young children and providing support to them. She also participated in several service learning projects such as the newspaper collection for the Ghim Mon Lions-befriender, and contributed to running major school events like Sports Day and Cross Country Meet.
Additionally, Sherry has a passion for art and craft, and she's currently learning embroidery. Her diverse experiences and interests suggest a well-rounded and caring individual with a strong commitment to helping others.

Associate Educational Psychologist
Masters in Educational Psychology
Xi En graduated from the University Putra Malaysia with a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology. Her thesis, titled "Relationship between Emotion Regulation and Authoritative Parenting Style on Social Functioning among Private University Students," explored the intricate ways that parenting styles and emotion regulation influence students' social interactions and overall functioning.
Some of her courses and research projects includes focusing on Human Learning Psychology, motivation, Applied Cognitive Psychology, Education for Students with Special Needs. These projects provided her with a deeper understanding of how cognitive processes and motivational factors influence learning, particularly in diverse educational environments.
Additionally, her attachments during her internship provided with opportunities to work closely with special needs children, allowing her to apply therapeutic techniques and strategies to support them. It was through this journey that she developed a strong passion to grow with students, especially those with developmental challenges, and unlock their full potential.
Jasper yap khai jun

Jasper graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London, with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology after completing his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of East Anglia, UK. His academic background in the science of human behaviour and mental processes underpins his evidence-based approach to cognitive interventions and student support.
His professional experience includes a tenure as an Honorary Assistant Psychologist within the National Health Service (NHS) in London. Working within a multidisciplinary clinical team, Jasper specialises in supporting individuals with complex needs and managing detailed clinical documentation. This role enhanced his ability to build rapport with clients and identify subtle behavioural cues, ensuring that intervention plans are tailored to the individual's progress.
Jasper’s postgraduate research and MSc thesis, titled "Exploring the Relationship Between Cyberbullying, Mental Health, and Well-being in Children Aged 7-12", explored the social and emotional challenges facing children today. By understanding the external stressors affecting a child’s mental health and well-being, he looks beyond surface-level learning symptoms to identify the cognitive "root cause" that may be hindering a student's development. He is a firm believer in neuroplasticity and is dedicated to using scientifically proven protocols to strengthen the core cognitive building blocks of every learner.
In addition to his clinical and research expertise, Jasper is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. His trilingual capability allows him to provide inclusive, empathetic, and clear communication to a wide range of families, ensuring that both students and caregivers feel fully supported throughout the intervention journey.

Olivia graduated from the National Institute of Early Childhood Development in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, with a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education (Specialising in Chinese Language) with a minor in Applied Psychology as well as MindForce Academy with a Diploma in Child Psychology. Her projects focused on researching children’s developmental milestones, including the planning of curricula to support children’s motor, cognitive and linguistic and socio-emotional development. She also conducted research on working with exceptional children and explored different therapeutic approaches to support diverse learning needs. Her specialisation in Chinese Language Teaching allowed her to bridge English and Chinese Linguistic development, supporting bilingual language acquisition. This allows her to integrate them into language development therapeutic activities, helping children strengthen communication skills across both languages.
Olivia has participated in several volunteer programmes where she could apply what she learnt, including a reading programme with SHINE Children & Youth Services, where she guided young children with learning difficulties in language and reading. Her experience gained from interacting with these special children helped her to realise her aspiration of being able to help others struggling from challenging life circumstances. Her experiences in working with younger children during her yearly attachments and internships to preschools also encouraged her to help them acquire greater knowledge through the fun and learning play experiences she planned.

Rachel graduated from the National Institute of Early Childhood Development in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, with a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education (Specialising in Chinese Language). Her learning experience allowed her to gain a strong foundation in child development, curriculum planning, and inclusive education. Her training focused on supporting young children’s growth across multiple developmental domains—cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and motor, and she developed hands-on skills through classroom practicum and internship experiences, working directly with young learners and applying child-centred pedagogies.
Beyond her academic journey, Rachel actively pursued opportunities to strengthen her communication and language skills. She participated in the Taugeh Production’s Speaking Workshop, where she honed her public speaking abilities, and the USP-thINK Programme, a writing and speech initiative in partnership with NUS that nurtured her confidence in articulating ideas and discussing social issues.
Rachel has many years of experience as a tuition teacher, where she managed large classroom groups and ensured that each student received the guidance they needed to succeed. Her teaching style is thoughtful, adaptive, and student-focused, shaped by her belief in the importance of both academic growth and personal development.
She has also been deeply involved in meaningful volunteer work. As an academic coach with Alkin Singapore, Rachel spent six months helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds improve their academic performance. She also organized interactive games and communication-focused activities to enhance their speech skills and confidence. This experience sparked her passion for creating equitable learning environments.
Rachel also volunteered at Camp Rainbow, an adventure camp for children aged 6 to 16 with special needs under Club Rainbow. There, she provided emotional and practical support to her assigned child, ensuring their well-being and creating a joyful and safe experience.

She believes in creating joyful, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences that help children feel confident, supported, and motivated to learn.
Krystal has participated in the SHINE Children & Youth Services reading programme, where she worked closely with children with special needs and learning difficulties, supporting them in strengthening their language and reading skills. In addition, she volunteers regularly by tutoring children from underprivileged backgrounds, using creative and adaptive teaching approaches to support their academic progress.
Through her academic training and hands-on volunteer experiences, Krystal has developed a strong understanding of children’s diverse needs and the importance of patience, empathy, and creativity in early childhood education. She is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of the children and families she works with, and strives to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Through her studies, she developed a strong foundation in child development and inclusive practices, equipping herself with skills to support children’s growth across motor, cognitive, language and social-emotional domains, gaining hands-on experience through her practicum and internship attachments in preschool settings.
Beyond her academic journey, Lee Tong has been actively involved in meaningful volunteer work, which has shaped her passion for supporting children from diverse backgrounds. As a volunteer with Youth Crops Singapore (YCS), Lee Tong volunteered in the KidsLearn program, a literacy program supporting young children from the community. She worked closely with children aged 5 to 6 to develop their foundational reading skills through interactive and engaging activities. She believes in guiding individuals with patience, empathy, and encouragement, and strives to empower each person to reach their fullest potential.
Lee Tong also volunteered in the Special Olympic Program, where she worked with individuals with special needs in structured activity settings. This experience strengthened her ability to be patient, responsive, and attuned to diverse developmental and behavioural needs.

Zhao Lun is currently taking a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education (Specialising in Chinese Language) with a minor in Applied Psychology at the National Institute of Early Childhood Development in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. His studies focuses on child development, inclusive education, and understanding the diverse learning and developmental needs of young children.
Through his academic journey, Zhao Lun has gained knowledge in researching various development disorders, including Autism Sectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), and Global Developmental Delay (GDD). He has also explored evidence-based intervention strategies and therapeutic approaches that support children with special needs. His coursework includes projects that involve working with children in early intervention and preschool settings, where he applies inclusive practices and adapts teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
Zhao Lun is also actively involved in 'HeArts( Healing through the arts)', a volunteering initiative where he visits the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), using art as a medium to communicate and better understand psychiatric patients. This meaningful experience has deepened his understanding of the various needs of individuals with special needs, deepening his empathy and strengthening his passion for working with them.
Inspired by both his studies and volunteer work, Zhao Lun is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children with special needs. He strives to create supportive, inclusive environments where every child feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
